Welcome!

I have created this BLOG for all of us that belong to you, mom, so we can write our thoughts, post photos, videos, etc. The reason why I guess is so that we can be closer to one-another since we all live so far apart. Now the only way this will work is if ALL of you are willing to participate by writing a short note or posting a photo now and then...Let's see how much fun we can really have...!!!

October 31, 2008 More on Grandma Ross

To day is Halloween so while I was in Emery County I took some time to go to Ferron and wish Grandma Ross a Happy Halloween. When I arrived she was setting at a table with others holding a candy bar and in front of her was many fun things with bright colored pumpkins on them. They had a party for the residents. She showed me
the pumpkin neckless that hung around her neck. She seemed in really good spirits. We went down to her room to check to see who had sent cards and she was tickled with her Halloween Cards. Those that made Grandma's week were Bryan, Becky and family with two cards, Jeri Lynn with two cards, Susan, Karen, Meliss and Sharyn all sent wonderful cards as well. Mom has a new roommate since her other one left this old world for a better place and she is a lot more with it. She wheels around in her electric chair and isn't shy about asking questions. She came up to me today and ask how long has Dorothy been here. I told her since the last of January and she said she hasn't even been here a year and look at all these cards. Me thinks the little green giant was coming out. Mom of course caught on to it and just said these are all my cards. (Like so there) I have a feeling that mom will always be able to hold her own. During the lunch prayer there was a lady talking and mom said "Shhhhh" to her. Mom didn't eat her meal very well today so I went over to the nurses station and asked how she has been doing and they showed me the chart. She must like the breakfast because she ate 100% of her breakfast and the least this week on breakfast was 75%. I will have to take my camera and take a picture and send it to you all. She is back and doing good. Have a wonderful Happy Halloween. d.a.

Oct. 21, 2008 Grandma Ross

Went over and spent a few hours with mom. They have moved her to a different table due to the fact that she isn't eating very well. The table that she is at now has CNA's that encourage the ladies and gentlemen to eat and some times feed them. Mom still likes to do it herself, but yesterday she didn't mind if I feed her. She ate
all of her pickled apple and almost all of her pickled beets. A little pudding was a surprise because she usually likes her sweets.

She seemed to be in a pretty pleasant mood and was alert to all that was going on around her. She received four cards while she was setting at the table. Jeri Lynn, Pat and her daughter Amy, Karen, and Bryan, Becky and Family. She had to read each and every one and sure enjoyed showing them off. She stuck them down in her wheel chair and wasn't about to let me take them back to her room. Thank you all for making a big smile come on her face it is such a cute smile with one tooth. Keep the cards coming!
